SpaceXAIのイーロン・マスクCEOは2026年10月7日、自社開発の自律型AIエージェント「Grok Bot」において、自社製モデルに限定せず最適な他社AIモデルをバックエンドで使い分けるマルチモデルルーティングを採用すると発表しました。競合である米Anthropicの最上位モデル「Claude Opus 5.5（Anthropicの最高性能大規模言語モデル）」をはじめ、画像生成のMidjourney、音楽生成のSunoなどの主要APIをタスク特性に応じて呼び出し、ユーザーに最良の結果を提供する方針です。

マスク氏は自身のXアカウントにおいて、「今後、SpaceXはあらゆるタスクに対して、Claude Opus 5.5、Midjourney、Suno、その他の主要APIを含む最適なバックエンドモデルを使用する。最も良い結果をもたらすものを採用する」と明言しました。

具体的なルーティング（振り分け）方針として、簡単な質問には軽量で高速なモデルを割り当て、複雑な推論を要する質問には大規模モデルへと動的に処理を振り分けると説明しています。Grok Botは2026年8月にローンチされたAIエージェントアプリで、独立した仮想マシン上で複数の作業を並列処理できる仕組みを備えています。iOS、iPadOS、macOS向けアプリのほか、Slack連携によるチーム共有Botとしても展開されています。
