NVIDIA（米国のGPU・AI半導体大手企業）は、最新世代の画像生成・描画技術「DLSS 5」を2026年9月3日午後9時（太平洋時間）よりゲーム『NBA2K27』において正式に提供開始し、GeForce RTX 50シリーズ向けの社内ベンチマーク結果を初公開した。3Dエンジン情報と生成AIを融合した「3D-guided Neural Rendering」により、選手の皮膚感や光の透過、毛髪の質感を極めて高精度に再現する。

3Dガイド付きニューラルレンダリングの仕組みと提供対象

NVIDIAが公開した社内ベンチマークは『NBA2K27』の特定シーンに限られており、RTX 5090および5080のみ4K結果が開示されている。一方、Tom's HardwareやWccftechによる先行MOD（Optiscaler経由のDLSS 5モデル適用）検証では、以下の具体的な挙動とボトルネックが明らかになっている。

実行オーバーヘッド: 4Kフレーム1枚あたりのモデル実行時間は約8ミリ秒を要し、ネイティブ描画や従来DLSSと比べてフレームレートに相当の負荷（Cyberpunk 2077等で約4割のフレーム低下）が発生する。
電源供給による性能差:
- 単一の12V-2x6コネクタ（最大575W TDP制限）を採用するRTX 5090 Founders Editionは、DLSS 5適用時に551W〜575Wの上限に達し頭打ちとなった。
- デュアル12V-2x6コネクタを備えるMSI RTX 5090 Lightning Z（最大1000W vBIOS対応）は723W超を消費し、Founders Editionに対して16%〜22%高いフレームレートを維持した。

つまり、DLSS 5の強力なAI推論負荷を最大限引き出すには、GPUチップの演算性能だけでなく、ボード全体の給電能力と冷却設計が直接影響を及ぼす。
