2026年3月に発表されたロードマップに基づき、2026年5月17日より、GPT-5.3-CodexがGitHub Copilot BusinessおよびEnterpriseプランの全組織においてデフォルトのベースモデルとなりました。これにより、以前の標準モデルであったGPT-4.1が置き換えられます。

GPT-5.3-CodexはGitHub初のLTS（長期サポート）モデルとして位置づけられており、12ヶ月間のサポートが保証されています。組織の管理者が個別にモデルを指定していない場合、自動的にこの最新の標準モデルが適用されます。

GitHub公式Xアカウントなどでも関連する情報の動きが確認されており、開発者の生産性をさらに向上させるための継続的なアップデートが行われています。
